HuffysFIT offers regular hydrotrainer courses in its own Huffys Academy. Here, trained animal physiotherapists, osteopaths, TFA or alternative practitioners can take their hydrotrainer or hydrofitness trainer certificate.
The courses take place
in our Academy in Nidda near Frankfurt and are led by
Tamara Baumbach.
Step 1: Register at Huffys Academy for the corresponding course. If you want to participate as a dog owner, you have to plan an extra day to learn the medical basics.
Step 2: Attend the course and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. Learn how the underwater treadmill works, medical conditions and contraindications, care and maintenance of the underwater treadmill, and athletic training.
Step 3: Successfully complete the course and receive your Hydrofitness
Trainer (HFT) certification. If you already have medical training, you will receive your Hydrotrainer (HT) certification.
Step 4: If you want to work as a hydrotrainer/hydrofitness instructor, make sure you have enough hands-on experience on the underwater treadmill. If not, you may need to take additional hands-on training.
Step 5: Take continuing education courses to deepen and broaden your knowledge and skills. There are specific courses for different breeds of dogs and medical conditions.
Step 6: Keep your certification current by regularly attending continuing education courses.
Note: Exact requirements and steps may vary by course. It is important that you educate yourself on the specific requirements and prerequisites to ensure you are taking all the necessary steps to become a qualified hydro trainer/hydro fitness instructor.
It is important to us that all of our hydro trainers/hydro fitness instructors meet a minimum standard to provide the best training experience for our training teams and a safe training experience for the dogs.
Animal health is especially close to our hearts.
